Modern growers are under increasing pressure to maintain crop performance despite nutrient-depleted soils, climate stress, and the demand for more sustainable agricultural practices. One of the most common hidden challenges affecting crop productivity is potassium deficiency.

Even when soils contain potassium reserves, only a limited fraction is actually available for plant uptake. Supporting crops under nutrient stress

A greenhouse study conducted on tomato plants under potassium-deficient conditions demonstrated the value of SOLULYS® 145V in supporting crop performance. Plants received reduced potassium nutrition equivalent to only 40% of the recommended rate and were treated with different application levels of SOLULYS® 145V.

The results showed measurable improvements compared to untreated plants:
  • Increased chlorophyll content, supporting healthier plant development
  • More flower and fruit clusters per plant
  • Higher total fruit weight
  • Improved fruit set and progression toward ripening
Plants treated with the highest dosage showed particularly strong improvements in reproductive performance, even under nutrient stress conditions.

According to the study conclusions, treated plants produced more fruit clusters and achieved greater total fruit weight than untreated controls, highlighting the product’s ability to mitigate the negative impact of potassium deficiency.
