New Zealand team represents Azelis at leading CASE conference
The 58th Surface Coatings Association New Zealand (SCANZ) Convention themed “Coating VISION” was held in Hamilton from 21-23 September 2022. Azelis New Zealand was the Silver Sponsor of this event, and Tim Loughnane (Managing Director), Jacqueline Hickman (Business Unit Manager), together with Jonathan Ting( Account Manager) represented Azelis at our leading CASE event, which is held annually.
Azelis was featured prominently as a sponsor, with Tim and Jacqueline in the Winning Quiz Team for Wednesday night. On the Thursday night, also Jacqueline won a prize for best Female Outfit at the “Kiwiana” themed Convention Dinner.
Shehani Nanayakkara, Industry Manager-Resins and Additives, represented our mandate BASF at the Convention with her Paper titled "Waterborne Dispersion Developments for Sustainable Paints". BASF's objective to meet Zero Carbon Dioxide emissions by 2050 uses a five-level approach - one of which is using Biobased feedstocks and Mass Balance Approach. Shehani provided an introduction to their SCOTT Strategic Carbon Dioxide Transparent Tool which provides Carbon Footprint Numbers for their Products. Shehani's presentation was well prepared and polished and drew a lot of interest from the audience.
There was ample time for networking with customers and industry associates and the conference was informative and fun! Huge appreciation to Azelis for their generous sponsorship of this event and also supporting their CASE team to attend this Convention keeping up with Industry trends, increasing their knowledge and engage with Industry peers.
