Binder for the manufacture of heat sealing lacquers in compliance with food laws.
Film drying: Dries physically on solvent evaporation.
Solubility: DEGALAN®LP AL23 is soluble in esters, ketones, aromatics, glycol ethers, glycol etheracetates, chlorinated hydrocarbons; blendable with petroleum hydrocarbons and alcohols.
Compatibility: DEGALAN®LP AL23 is compatible with nitrocellulose, various vinyl polymers, celluloseacetobutyrate, maleinate resins, phthalate plasticizers; incompatible with alkyd, melamineand urea resins. On request, we will be pleased to provide you with typical formulations for your guidance.
Hints for application: In order to ensure the adhesion to aluminium foil, the latter should be primed (1 - 2 μm dryfilm thickness) with a PVC copolymer, e.g. Vinnol®H 15/45 M from Wacker Chemie or incombination with the ration of 80/20 (solid to solid). Recommended film thickness of DEGALAN®LP AL23 is 7 g per sqm.
