The Basorol® types are concentrated single products designed for use as components for demulsifier formulations. Basorol® P DB-9945 has a relative solubility number (RSN) between 8 – 10 and is supplied in concentrated form with an active content of 50 – 90% as a dark brown viscous liquid. It is generally used to treat oilfield emulsions with a wide API range and performed best when used in conjunction with intermediates having functionality as treaters/dryers or wetting agents. Synergistic effects have been observed when used alongside other acid or base-catalyzed alkylphenol-EO/PO resins (Group 1), polyethyleneimine alkoxylates (Group 5), and when used with di-epoxide polyols (Group 6).
