Applications:
Synative ES 2964 is a synthetic lubricant basestock based on oleate esters of hindered polyols. Synative ES 2964 has the correct viscosity for ISO VG 46 fluids and requires no addition of viscosity index improvers. Synative ES 2964 exhibits excellent lubricity, good hydrolytic stability and good low temperature properties. Synative ES 2964’s low volatility is reflected in the Noack volatility and flash point data. Synative ES 2964 can be used in many applications, including hydraulic fluids and greases. Synative ES 2964 is readily biodegradable and is therefore suited for appli cations where oil leakages could put the lubricant directly in contact with the soil or water. These situations call for lubricants formulated from highly biodegradable basestocks.
