AgroSpred™ 200: The hidden factor behind effective foliar spray performance

AgroSpred™ 200 is a mineral oil–based agricultural adjuvant developed to improve the performance of foliar applied insecticides and fungicides. By enhancing spray spreading, adhesion, and cuticular penetration, it helps spray droplets carrying the active ingredients achieve better contact with leaf surfaces and penetrate more effectively.

In the Asia Pacific region, crop protection performance is increasingly influenced by broader forces such as changing environmental conditions, rising sustainability expectations, and mounting pressure to produce more with limited resources. As a result, greater attention is being placed on formulation and application approaches. These approaches play an important role in supporting yield stability and improving the efficient use of crop protection inputs.

Why AgroSpred™ 200 matters

For foliar crop protection products such as insecticides and fungicides, effectiveness depends on the active ingredient and how well the spray solution interacts with the plant surface. Under increasingly variable field conditions, uneven droplet spreading or poor adhesion can lead to runoff, spray loss, and reduced uptake, limiting the amount of product available to deliver effective protection.

AgroSpred™ 200 improves spray deposition by enhancing droplet spreading and retention on leaf surfaces, helping insecticides and fungicides remain in contact with the plant for longer. This supports more effective cuticular penetration and more uniform coverage, particularly in high spray volume applications where product loss can compromise performance.

For farmers, improved spray interaction at the leaf surface enables more consistent spray performance, including in high spray volume applications where achieving uniform coverage can be challenging. This helps farmers achieve optimised crop performance, leading to healthier crops and improved efficiency in on farm spray operations and overall farm productivity.
