MMB is an eco-friendly solvent with good efficacy and no risk labeling requirements. It acts as a degreaser, hydrotrope, viscosity reducer and solubiliser.
It is suited to air fresheners where it slows down the release of the fragrance and is very stable against oxidiation. It can be used in plug-in, liquid and gel air fresheners and gives improved sprayability.
In Homecare applications, it can be used as replacement for conventional solvents in hard surface cleaners, such as floor cleaners. It is non-flammable in the presence of just 10% water, allowing easy transportation of final products.
In Personal Care applications, it can be used as a degreaser or in leave-on hand cleaners due to it's volatility.
