Request a documentLDPE carrier resin based processing aid masterbatch. It is designed to lower the apparent viscosity of the polymer melt during processing. It provides reduction of melt-fracture phenomenon along with reduction or elimination of die build-up. ADD-MAX® 104 lowers extrusion temperature, improves surface properties and reduces energy consumption as well as surface defects. It improves gauge control but reduces melt-orientation, die-swell and melt-pressure. The potentially higher throughputs can be achieved when capacity is available (10% - 30%). It offers faster color changes along with reduction of waste and less production interruptions. It does not influence end-product mechanical properties, such as tensile strength, impact resistance, and long‐term hoop stress (in pipe applications).
Recommended for PP, HDPE and LLDPE cast and blown films. Can also be used in blow molding and general extrusion. It is suitable to be used in pipes, tubes, food packaging as well as wires & cables. A dosing level of 1% is a good starting point, with a possible range between 0.8% and 2.0%.
